Festivals and Events in Cusco

- Qoyllur Rit’i: This annual festival is held in the Andean village of Sinakara and combines indigenous Andean traditions with Roman Catholic beliefs. It features dancing, music, and a procession to a mountain shrine.
- Cusco Fair: This annual fair takes place in October and features traditional dance and music performances, as well as food and craft stalls.
- Corpus Christi: This Christian holiday is celebrated throughout Peru, and Cusco is home to several colorful processions and ceremonies.
- Cusco Food Festival: This annual event, held in October, celebrates the region’s culinary traditions and features tastings, cooking demonstrations, and other food-related activities.

When is the best time to hike to Machu Picchu?
The best season is during the dry season, which covers the months April to the end of September. In October the rains begin and you can find Machu Picchu covered by clouds.
